1 .Enjoy Balinese Culture
See a Dance. You will find traditionally dressd people on the strees around the palace selling tickets for the evening performances. Take your pick or alternatively you could go to the magnificant Arma Where they hold excellent performances three of four night a week.
2. Ubud Market
This Traditional market oprns from 6am till 6 pm . Opposite the Ubud palace, The character changes through the dayas the morningvegetable sellers and Balinese snack vendors give way to the tourist who come to buy all manner of cheap handicraft, clothes, jewellery, basket, bags, paintings, and bali souvenirs. it is fabulous any time of the day, get a "morning price" by a morning visit will be sure you get a better price, to bring the vendors good luck for the day! don`t forget to bargain nicely, it`s all part of the fun, and don`t forget to smile.
3. Monkey Forest
Enjoy the Enchantment of the magical forest . It is particularly beautifull in the early morning or late afternoon as the sun slant thought the trees. See the river and the Temple, a little piece of gorgeous old Bali. Buy banana at the entrance to keep the monkey happy and enjoy the circus as they sneakily watch you, figuring the best way to get all your bananas.
4. Ibu Oka
Babi guling . Every day from 11.30am , people start the procession to Ibu Oka`s Just opposite the Ubud Palace. The Succulent roasted pork with Balinese spices lures visitors from all over, from Jakarta to Japan. it is a fine sight to see a freshly roasted porker being carried down the road on the head of one cooks. It is best to get there early or else after twwo to avoid the lunch time rush.
5. Sari Organic
Awalk though the ricefields brings you to this organic market garden and restaurant. Go early for a cool walk and breakfast before it gets busy or enjoy a rosy sunset reflecting in the planted padi fields. Learning to cook is a fun pastime whilst staying in Ubud.
